One of the best Saturdays of the year is upon us - Free Comic Book Day! I'm sure I'm not the only one looking forward to titles like Suicide Squad, Assassin's Creed, and The Tick (my favorite one, every year!), but there's a good selection of diverse and fun comics. Don't let the "all ages" labels or cartoony art keep you from trying something. Plus, with such variety in story and art styles you, your kids, your bff who doesn't read comics, etc. are bound to pick up something new and exciting that will be enjoyed. Plan ahead, too! If your store has a limit on how many comics, then take friends / family; you'll get to share the whole experience (and the reading), and get to try more comics!

Features has a couple interviews and a lot of in-depth coverage of comics, listed here in no particular order. The first interview is with Marv Wolfman (The New Teen Titans). The second interview is with David Gallaher and Steve Ellis (The Only Living Boy). Comics going Under the Microscope are Robyn Hood issues #18 and #19 (Zenescope Entertainment) and Neal Adams' Batman Omnibus. An older (2001 / 2002) five- issue series called Four Women gets put under a mini-Microscope. Tart Jen continues her coverage of The New Teen Titans with two more installments covering issues #23-24 and #25 / Annual 1, respectively. Tart Wolfen has another installment of Looking at Loki.

Culture Vultures is quite varied. Tart Patti laments the loss of Prince. There's an interview with Dave McElfatrick of Cyanide and Happiness regarding this new game, Joking Hazard. New Tart, Jill, relates her search for Mego Batgirl in a pre-eBay world (spoiler: happy ending!). Tart Patti takes a closer look at the CBS series Person of Interest. Tart Jen shares her thoughts on how The Incredible Hulk (TV show) was more scary than super to her.

The Report Card contains reviews. Mostly comics and manga, but always a mixed bag.
