The Specter Inspectors head to the library for research and run into a ghost!

I like how this issue makes more use of Noa's abilities to sense things, but I also like that everyone can see and interact with the ghost. Noa leads things in a certain direction, but the group is needed to tackle the things they find. I also like that the demon inside Astrid is able to physically (using Astrid's body) fight the ghost, but I love that Noa is able to diffuse the situation peacefully -- by empathizing with the ghost's pain and listening to the ghost's story! Her story gives the team a new case to investigate, but will it tie in to the demon's search for a name? Possibly -- the ghost does warn them of the town's consuming nature. To complicate the plot further, that night Noa has a creepy dream of mysterious figures talking about Astrid's possession and whether it's too late for her ....

I'm enjoying this read, and I'm quite intrigued to see where it's going. That said, I'm a little surprised the team is trying to continue their Specter Inspector investigations while helping the demon in Astrid. Of course, the demon is amicable enough and needs their help, and it seems like there are bigger problems in this town than just hauntings, so things could get real interesting.

The art for the fight with the ghost is really well done. It's very physical, but the ghost remains ghostly. The ghost's blue skin and aura and white dress give vibes of the bride from Disney's Haunted Mansion, as does her maniacal violence and tragic backstory (though, this ghost is haunting more on behalf of someone else, which is a bit weird).

I like the use of browns for the flashback; it's almost sepia, and it allows the red of the "evil" light to give a sinister feel, and the red flames to pop off the page.

There's a lot going on in this issue. I thought I knew where the plot was headed after the end of issue #1, but now there's so much more to take in, I'm not sure. But I do know I'll be back to find out!
